A University of Canberra School of Physiotherapy lecturer is helping his students focus in class by using a stick throwing game.

This activity is done within the Muscular & Skeletal Intervention 3 course.  It will increase left & right brain coordination, as well as physical dexterity.  It improves awareness and sensory skills and allows the class theory to be put into practice.

The game is based on the spiritual practice of peace sticks, which originates from Native American culture.
