Bond’s Doctor of Physiotherapy applications now open for May 2014

Applications are now open for Bond University Physiotherapy School.  Bond offers a Doctor of Physiotherapy program for Canadian students.  This program is 2 Years Full-Time (3 semesters per year) and starts in May 2014.

2014 Important Dates & Deadlines

Monday, 1 July 2013 Online applications open for all applicants (domestic and international)
Friday, 27 September 2013 Applications close for Round 1 of interviews
Mid October 2013 Interviews held for short-listed candidates
Mid November 2013 Applicants notified of application outcome
7-8 May 2014 All enrolled students to attend Doctor of Physiotherapy Orientation
12 May 2014 Classes commence

Impressed by Bond’s small class sizes and personalised, hands-on approach to studies, Jaclyn moved from Canada to undertake a Doctor of Physiotherapy and was one of the inaugural graduates of the program.

2004 Completed Bachelor of Kinesiology, Minor of Religious Studies at McMaster University in Canada
2005
Gained certification as a STOTT Pilates Instructor and participated in extensive research in Spinal Cord Injuries and Body-weight Supported Treadmill Training
2007 Moved to Australia, and commenced studying the Doctor of Physiotherapy at Bond University; impressed by small, personalised classes and hands-on practical trainingReceived several academic achievements awards, including six First in Class awards and being placed on the Vice-Chancellors High Achievers list every semester
2008 Undertook a variety of clinical placements including:Pindara Physiotherapy, working with a wide range of patients from teenagers with sporting injuries through to chronic low back painPrincess Alexander Hospital Spinal Injuries Unit, working with patients with an acquired spinal injury across a range of cultures and age groups
2009 One of the inaugural graduates from Australia’s first graduate entry level Doctor of Physiotherapy program
