Physiotherapy Schools in Australia & the UK

physiotherapy

Intro

Physiotherapy is a major health care profession in Canada, Australia, the UK and around the world.

Physiotherapy assists people to restore, maintain and maximize their strength, function, movement, and overall well-being.  Physiotherapists combine their in-depth knowledge of how the body works and specialized hands-on clinical skills to assess, diagnose, and treat symptoms of illness, injury and disability.

Physiotherapy is a highly regarded profession and demand for physiotherapists is strong. Physiotherapists work in private practice, aged care settings, private and public hospitals, workplaces, community based agencies, schools, rehabilitation centres and chronic health management clinics. Patients range across the life span, from birth to athletes and the elderly.

Students wishing to license as a physiotherapist in Canada should contact the Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy for procedures and accreditation procedures.   The CAP is the national federation of provincial/territorial regulators in Canada.  Contact KOM Consultants for more information on Accreditation of Australian Physiotherapy programs coming back to Canada.
