Intro

Bond University is Australia’s first private, not-for profit University, offering a personalized academic environment
that enables graduates to exceed the outer limits of their potential. Bond’s personalized approach to the education
process combined with its uncompromising focus on industry relevance sets Bond University apart from every other
Australian university. Bond University has the smallest class sizes in Australia, with a student to staff ratio of
11:1 and comparable to Ivy League schools in the U.S. The small study groups enable students to receive more
individualized attention and personal assistance with their work.

Why Bond?

Access to world-class academics.

As Australia’s leading private university, Bond has attracted a team of internationally-renowned teaching
professionals whose high level qualifications are complemented by their real-world experience consulting to major
corporations worldwide. For example, Assistant Professor Mike Grenby has been recognized by the Harvard Business
School for his innovative approach to reducing the fear of public speaking. Associate Professor David Field is an
expert in international criminal law and evidence.

Access to first-class facilities

Our extensive teaching and studying facilities provide students with the very best in integrated learning. The
Macquarie Trading Room enables students to experience the latest trading room technology, with access to real time
market information and software for simulated trading. The film and television editing suites mirror industry
standard facilities providing students with the ability to experience the technology they will be presented with
when they graduate. The Legal Skills facilities provide those studying law with an opportunity to experience
first-hand the workings of a courtroom with replica e-courtrooms and moot courts. These facilities ensure Bond
graduates are totally familiar with workplace environments and technologies from their first day on the job.

Complementing Bond’s academic features, you’ll also find a comprehensive selection of recreational and social
outlets. The $12 million award-winning fitness centre features a fully equipped gym, aerobics/sports schedule, beach
volleyball courts, basketball courts, tennis courts, squash courts, and a heated Olympic-size swimming pool. The
campus also has its very own football and soccer fields. Students can choose from a wide variety of clubs and
activities, such as basketball, golf, ice-hockey, lacrosse, martial arts, rowing, rugby, soccer, squash, surfing,
tennis, dancing and volleyball.

Fast track study program

Bond University schedules three semesters (terms) per year with intakes in January, May and September. This allows
students to complete a bachelor’s degree in just two years and a master’s in one, thereby gaining a head start on
their peers and saving money on living expenses.

Access to blue-chip employers

Bond graduates have the highest percentage rate of full-time employment when compared with graduates from Australia’s
leading Group of Eight Universities due to our extensive network of business/industry partnerships. Bond University
is currently Australia’s highest rating University for graduate outcomes according to the 2009 Good Universities
Guide.

Bond’s established links with business and industry mean that, when it comes to recruitment, our graduates are the
first choice for many leading blue-chip employers. Bond’s Career Development Centre assists students and Alumni to
find positions during and after university.

Access to global ‘old school’ network. Our graduates leave university with a ready-made network of friends and
associates across Australia and overseas.

Bond is accredited by Universities Australia and recognized by the Ministerial Council on Education, Employment,
Training and Youth Affairs.

I know that when I thought about the idea of studying in a different country my parents were not pleased at all. It took me a while to convince them of the benefits that I thought would be brought from the experience of studying abroad. …
