We have some good news to announce on this dreary Monday! Seriously, is it really cold and raining on June 1st? The University of Western Sydney (UWS) is introducing a range of academic excellence scholarships for new international students! YahooooooThe first round of scholarships will be available for students commencing in Spring Session (July intake) and Quarter Four (September intake) 2015.Vice-Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Undergraduate Scholarships
Vice-Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Undergraduate Scholarships will cover 50% of the cost of tuition fees for three years for a three year Bachelor degree.Vice-Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Postgraduate Scholarships
Vice-Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Postgraduate Scholarships will cover 50% of the cost of tuition fees for two

years in one of the following degrees:

M Accountancy
M Business Administration
M Engineering
M Information and Communications Technology
M Information and Communications Technology (Advanced)
M Teaching (Birth – 5 years/Birth – 12 Years)
M Interpreting and Translation
M Public Health
M Health Science
M Planning
M Social Science

International Academic Excellence Postgraduate Scholarships
International Academic Excellence Postgraduate Scholarships offer $5,000 to be applied towards tuition fees for the first year of study in one of the above postgraduate degrees.WHO CAN APPLY?Current UWS applicants
Eligible applicants who have received an Offer of Admission to UWS or who have accepted their offer will be invited to apply for the scholarships. Applicants must apply for scholarships by Wednesday, 10 June 2015. KOM Consultnats will help you get your application in onetime! New UWS applicants
New applicants interested in studying at UWS in either Spring Session or Quarter Four Session 2015 must apply to UWS by the scholarship closing date on Wednesday, 10 June 2015. New applicants will need to:

Complete the UWS International Scholarships by 10 June 2015.

All scholarship applicants must:

Be an international student visa holder (subclass 573)
Have achieved an academic level as follows:
- For the Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Undergraduate Scholarship: achieve a minimum Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of 90 or equivalent in higher secondary studies
- For the Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Postgraduate Scholarship: achieve a GPA of 5.95 on a 7 point scale or 3.4 on a 4 point scale (or 80% or above overall) in their undergraduate degree
- For the International Academic Excellence Scholarship: achieve a minimum GPA of 5.0 in previous studies.
Achieve an overall score of IELTS 7.0 (no more than 2 years old at the time of commencement)
Have met the University’s admission requirements for the course to be considered for the scholarship
Commence study in Spring Session (July intake) 2015 or Quarter Four (September intake) 2015
Not be seeking any advanced standing for their course, prior to, or after enrolment
Provide a statement in support of their application indicating how they believe the scholarship will assist them with their study and future career
Maintain a minimum GPA of 5.0 each session throughout the duration of the course.
