KOM frequently visit client universities to attend workshops with various faculties and key personal that support our students. Our organization makes every effort to provide students with the latest information on programs, university facilities, and lifestyle choices through our first hand knowledge.

University of Canberra is located in Australia’s Capital city of Canberra, which is about a 3 hour drive south of Sydney and 1.5 hours inland off the coast. Martin said of his recent visit to Canberra “I’m amazed at how much this city has grown over the last 10 years. parliament buildingThere’s a real buzz about Canberra with world class shopping, first class entertainment, and hundreds of restaurants.  One of the more recent restaurants just opened is owned by English celebrity chef Jamie Oliver. All this makes for a fantastic setting for students.”

The city of Canberra has the lowest unemployment rate combined with highest average income in country. In fact, the economy is so strong that it’s not uncommon for student wages to be in the neighbourhood of $20 – $25 per hour. Remember, students are permitted to work 40 hours biweekly while in school and full time during vacation periods. Canberra’s hourly wages offer students great income potential.

Martin was also amazed at how bicycle friendly Canberra is, “I have never seen a more bicycle friendly city than Canberra. One of the first things that hit me when arriving in Canberra was the overwhelming number of bike lanes and paths throughout the city. Practically every road has a dedicated bike lane making it a very popular past time for locals. Whether commuting to work, school, or for pleasure on the weekends, there are bike paths and trails to suite everyone’s ability.”
