Applicants will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

1.  Academic performance in Year 12 studies or in subsequent tertiary studies

• high school cumulative average necessary to be considered is minimum of 85% in Grade 12 subjects
• university average minimum 80%
• Chemistry and Math pre-requisities

2.  Evaluation of the written component of the JCU Medical application form

3.  Demonstration at interview of attributes suited to a career in medicine
