Australian Catholic University (ACU) welcomed the inaugural class of law students to the Melbourne campus this year and will launch the law program at the North Sydney campus in 2014.  International students will be able to apply to study in both Melbourne and Sydney for courses commencing in February 2014.

Executive Dean Professor Brian Fitzgerald believes that by offering the Bachelor of Laws and dual law programs in both Melbourne and North Sydney campuses, ACU will strengthen the reputation of the new programs specifically developed for 21st century legal practice. “Our aim is to offer students a highly personalised and supportive learning environment. We will strive to provide them with a solid knowledge of the law as well as an understanding of the needs of our wider community, equipping students to build a fulfilling career in an increasingly dynamic global environment.”

ACU’s Law degree and dual degrees have a practical focus delivered in the context of the core values underpinning the university including social justice, human dignity and respect, ethical practice and the public interest. A unique aspect of all of our law degrees is the requirement for our students to undertake pro bono legal work experience from second year onwards” he said. The courses available are listed below.
