Some KOM universities are still accepting applications into Australian Medical Schools in Australia for this upcoming February 2014 intake.

James Cook University offers an undergraduate MBBS program which is six years in length.  You can hold a high school diploma and/or university degree to apply.  The application deadline is August 31st for the February 2014 intake.

University of Western Sydney also offers an undergraduate MBBS program which is five years in length.  …

James Cook University offers a five year undergraduate Dental School program in Australia.  Students can apply directly from high school.  James Cook University is located in Townsville which is northern Queensland, close to the Great Barrier Reef.

Celebrating 100 years of tropical medicine

A special event was held in Townsville to celebrate the centenary of the official opening of Australian Institute of Tropical Medicine (AITM).

On June 28, 1913, the AITM was officially opened. This was Australia’s first independent medical research complex. The building, a Queensland Heritage Register-listed place, still exists adjacent to the old Townsville General Hospital.

Today is a very important and nerve-racking day for students who applied to Ontario Medical Schools for September 2013.  Students have been waiting patiently since the beginning of October when they initially submitted their applications to OMSAS.

Today, Tuesday May 14th, 2013 is the first date of the release of offers of admission to successful aplicants for Ontario Medical Schools.
