About the Master of Teaching (Primary)

Griffith’s Master of Teaching (Primary) is a postgraduate pre-service teacher education program offered in intensive mode to enable completion in one and a half years. The program provides professional preparation for teaching in primary school (Prep to Year 6) settings. It is designed for graduates from a non-education background wishing to teach in this context.

The program covers the theory and practice of teaching concentrating on the characteristics of learners; the social and educational contexts of education; curriculum studies and professional experience in relevant settings.

Entry requirements

Applicants to Griffith University Master of Teaching Primary must hold an approved degree of equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution carrying a 70% GPA.

Professional Recognition in Canada

Graduates will be eligible to apply for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers. This qualification is recognized nationally.

Graduates of Griffith University Master of Teaching are eligible to apply for licensing in Canada, however, it is critical students understand the requirements needed to complete this process before licensing will be granted. ARC Linkage Projects Strengthen Griffith’s Research Profile

’s Institute for Glycomics will open its doors to the public to showcase to the community its malaria vaccine project.

The malaria vaccine research team, led by Professor Michael Good, have just finished clinical trials conducted at Griffith’s Gold Coast campus this year and have been working closely with expert infectious disease clinicians at Gold Coast University Hospital.

This is the second round of clinical trials to be conducted by the Institute for Glycomics to examine malaria vaccine strategies in humans. …
