The health and safety of all our students is paramount on our minds.
Health insurance is mandatory for all international students, and is part of our planning and pre-departure consultation. These plans typically include an emergency assistance benefit in the event of a medical emergency, natural disaster or political upheaval. Ask for details! All students entering Australia on a Student Visa are required by the Government of Australia to hold Overseas Student Health Coverage. This costs about $1/day and must be paid with first semester fees. As always, we walk our students through this process.
Canadian Travel Reports & Warnings are regularly monitored for the benefit of our students, parents, and advisors. Furthermore, we highly encourage students to keep in contact throughout their term with family and friends. If nothing else, students are instructed to let their family know they are in good health.
KOM Consultants will use best efforts to recall all students in areas where we have been advised through Canadian travel warnings that their health and safety is in jeopardy. Additionally, each destination university has excellent support services in place for international students, and we encourage the students to utilize these services.
